Carol Crampton, President
Carol has been a member of the professional lighting community since 1978. Her early experience in sales and client and contractor negotiations created a foundation of knowledge in the construction aspect of the industry, a valuable asset in today’s active building climate. In 1992, Carol founded Crampton Lighting Design, a regional design firm specializing in residential, hospitality and corporate lighting design.
Carol has a positive, highly communicative design style. Her lighting designs incorporate aesthetics with technical requirements while keeping in mind project schedules, budgets, product maintenance and energy efficiency.
Continuing education is of primary importance to Carol. She is committed to maintaining her knowledge of the most effective, reliable and energy-efficient products on the market. Carol is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, Maryland Section and an affiliate member of the Baltimore AIA.
Carol has provided her expertise as a lighting specialist to various newspapers and publishers and her lighting designs have been featured in publications such as Waterfront Home & Design, Veranda, Baltimore Magazine, Traditional Home, Chesapeake Home, Washington Maryland Virginia Home & Design and The Baltimore Sun.

Crampton Lighting Design will customize the scope of our services to meet the needs of each project and client. Standard services include, but are not limited to:
- Site survey prior to design and installation.
- Coordination with Design Team.
- Formulation of lighting concept and design.
- Generate dimensioned AutoCAD drawings.
- Generate fixture schedules and specifications.
- Lighting control layout and specification.
- Decorative lighting selections.
- Create fixture mock-ups for onsite evaluation.
- Final punch out of project including aiming, lensing, lamp evaluation, setting light levels and maintenance documentation.
